Do you think money influences politics?

Do you think the system needs to change?

If so, we've got an event for you!

At this moment, the Seattle City Council is considering putting "Clean Elections" on the ballot. We can't let this opportunity pass us by, so we are taking action right now!

The Seattle members of Washington Public Campaigns are organizing a focused campaign called Vote Clean Seattle to get Clean Elections on the ballot... and to make sure it passes!

We'd love for you to be a part of this - Please join us at the Vote Clean Seattle Campaign Kickoff Party with guest speaker, Congressman Jim McDermott!

There will be free food and chances to win great prizes!

Hope to see you there!

Hello Friends of Democracy!

Would you like to know more about Clean Elections and why they are important?

We'd like to invite you to an informal info session about how money influences politics (thus, all the issues we care about!) and why clean elections are a great solution to this escalating problem.

Join us in our discussion on Thursday, October 9th at 7pm at Prost! at 73rd and Greenwood to learn what Clean Elections are, why we need them, and how we can get them in Seattle!

We welcome anyone who wants to know more about this keystone issue and look forward to seeing you!

This groups meets every second Tuesday of the month at the Douglass-Truth Library

For this meeting, we will discuss our new campaign plan for the next 6-18 weeks, which includes putting our volunteer outreach into high gear.

We've got to reach out to more citizen groups - do you belong to another organization that hasn't heard about us yet?

And we must take advantage of all the fantastic summer fairs and festivals! Please come if you would like to volunteer for petition signature gathering, tabling, speaking, phone calling, or if you have other talents that we could put to use!
