To clean up politics! To create a system where anyone can truly run for elected office, politicians spend time listening to voters instead of raising big money, and make policies based on the needs of their community without distortion from wealthy interests. To restore public confidence in our democracy and increase voter turnout and other forms of civic participation. Democracy is not a spectator sport--it needs lots of public participation to succeed.

We are accomplishing real things right now. Seattle is the city that is closest to get public funding for elections!

Not only is Washington Public Campaigns fighting for the most worthy of causes, but wonderful people fuel the engine behind it. If you are interested in strengthening our democracy, making a difference, and enjoying phenomenal people in the process, then I would highly suggest Washington Public Campaigns.

This is the real deal. We need to clean up our elections to address the interests of the voters, not the special interests.

  •  I'll be following the resolution I submitted to see what support I can provide. I need to schedule a speaker to come to next month's (RPEC) Retired Public Employees Lunch at the FONZI Community Hall in Ballard on December 18th (I'll buy you lunch).
